5 Unconventional Weight Loss Tips That Really Work

My editor at TLC’s parenting blog, which is part of Discovery’s “How Stuff Works” franchise, asked me to write a post about how I lost 20 pounds. We’re always looking to uncover how stuff works, and weight loss is a popular topic to decipher. My editor wondered if I lost weight because I’m taking a break from drinking.
Let me tell you — no one was more surprised than me when I first began my wine sabbatical and the weight did not budge. I seriously couldn’t believe it, and I was beyond frustrated.
I was making what felt like a very big sacrifice, since wine was my favorite means of stress relief…I thought the weight would melt off and that I would immediately be rewarded by a more fit and trim body. NOPE.
So that’s the non-story. The story of my weight loss involved only about a bajillion different factors. I love writing about how to get a more healthy body, so more will be revealed in time.
